ABOUT HEARLTAND "Our business is to help you keep your business moving" |
WHAT WE DO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FINANCE OPTIONS |
We offer you an alternative to the choice between expensive new machines, slightly used, reconditioned or broken-down, used-up clunkers. It's an alternative with some peace of mind, but also with a smaller price tag. We keep you digging with quality used equipment at an affordable price. And remember, if you're not working, you're not making money. We find what you need. We use an extensive network of construction professionals to find the right piece of equipment for you, and we work hard to make sure "the price is right." We don't buy equipment at auctions. At auctions, sometimes you get lucky, but most often you don't. That's not a gamble we want to take, and one you probably don't, either. But that doesn't mean we don't find good deals. Call and check our prices. We sold an RT115 that sold brand new at the dealership In October of 2001 for $103,000. In March of 2002 Heartland acquired the unit with 110 hours on it and sold it for 68,000. It was practically in showroom condition. Heartland
inspects, repairs and replaces as needed. We
buy used equipment, evaluate it and where necessary, rebuild, replace or repair.
In some cases, very little needs to be done because we search for high quality,
low hours machines to begin with. In fact, Heartland has access to Ditch Witch
machines with as few as 20-100 hours on the meter. But in all cases, our experienced
team of mechanics and paint shop professionals leave no stone unturned. It's
their job to ensure that we offer solid, reliable pieces of equipment that will
get the job done for you day in and day out. When it rolls out of the shop and
onto the truck, it looks beautiful and runs even better. The best part is the price. You can get this great looking, reliable equipment with a warranty for a fraction of the price of new. Sometimes it's just a little more than buying a used piece at an auction, but dollar for dollar you get more for your money. At an auction, you have no idea how much money you may have to spend before the piece you just bought will be operational. Some people end up spending MORE to get their auction pieces running than the purchase price of a Heartland machine. At Heartland, not only do you know it's been inspected and worked on, you have a warranty that helps cushion the cost of any breakdowns within the first 30 days. After all, are you in the digging business or the equipment repair business? Every day you spend working on your gear is a day you aren't working. Give yourself peace of mind, increase the number of days you are digging and give your wallet a break, too. Check out the Heartland inventory of equipment right here on the web. And if you don't see what you need, contact us. Let us help you to keep you doing what you do best. |

answer isYes! Some of our best equipment comes from customer like you.
Depending on the age, model and condition, we frequently take equipment

operation, brand, availability of parts, current resale demand,
etc....We pride ourselves on fairness and that is always our goal. |
| No.
We are not a franchised dealer of NEW Ditch Witch equipment. Our staff
and mechanics have extensive experience with Ditch Witch machinery
(some over 30 years) and some of us have worked for a Ditch Witch
dealership. We sell high-quality used Ditch Witch machines. We often
have access to Ditch Witch equipment with as little as 20 hours on it,
but it is all technically "used." We also offer a large number of used
parts as well as some new. We also have a full line of trencher chain,
sprockets, seals, teeth etc.... We ARE authorized dealers of IHI
excavators, Rycom locators, Kiefer Trailers, Melfred Borzall HDD
Products, lineward cable plows, and Ballantine Trencher Chain and
Sprockets. We
offer parts and can order brand new equipment from any of these
lines. We are also one of the only suppliers left for Dig-it parts! |

parts depending on your machine and your specifications. Under the guidance
of Kent Thompson, Heartland's Chief Mechanic, our team quickly and efficiently
diagnoses and repairs any problem you may have so you can keep digging.
Kent alone has over 30 years of experience working with Ditch Witch machines,
and his expertise and abilities are well known to anyone who has used
our services in the past. |
OUR SHOP RATES are some of the best around, which means you not only get top-quality service, it's affordable. Combine those rates with our numerous sources for new, used and aftermarket parts, and you could be smiling all the way to the bank. We help take some of the sting out of a breakdown. |
SPEEDY SERVICE is one of the cornerstones of our business. There is a well-known saying, "Time is money." At Heartland we know this is true, and we know if you aren't making money we won't either. That's why we do everything in our power to fix your machine as quickly as possible so you can keep digging. |
YOU DIDN'T BUY YOUR MACHINE AT HEARTLAND? No problem. The word is out on the quality of our shop, and many people bring their machines to us who did not originally buy them from us. We welcome any Ditch Witch, IHI, Allmand, Dig-It or Ramrod owners to bring their machines in for repair or just regular service. Vermeer and Case owners, you're not left out, either. While we do not specialize in Vermeer or Case maintenance, we will gladly outfit your machine with new digging chain, teeth and sprockets by Ballantine. Ballantine is the brand of chain that often comes standard on Case and Vermeer machines, and you can take advantage of our great prices and our low shop rates for these services! |

HEARTLAND DEMONSTRATES machines either in Slater or at your place of business. Of course, we hope you will visit us in Slater to see the huge selection of trenching and boring equipment on our lot. Demonstrations consist of short sessions that show the customer how the machine will operate. For instance, a telephone company might expect to pull or feed 200' of wire at a job site as a demonstration to get a feel for the machine and it's functions. Directional boring demonstrations are arranged and negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Longer term demonstrations are often handled as rentals with terms arranged in advance so the rental price may be applicable toward purchase. If you would like to see a demonstration of new IHI, Allmand, Dig-It or Ramrod models, please call first to arrange a meeting. |
